For several days, the Pocket Rocket application has been available on the App Store in exchange for a few euros. Developed by the publisher Shuhari Tech, this service based on ARKit technology is intended for fans of space missions.
An application dedicated to space missions… and augmented reality
With this app, it is possible to follow all rocket launches, including those carried out by SpaceX — the space company led by Elon Musk. However, it is important to note that there is probably no financial partnership link between the latter and Pocket Rocket, even if the American company is highlighted. It is thus possible to find all the history (and videos) of past launches of SpaceX and its Starlink project.
Moreover, the next mission is dedicated to the launch of 60 Starlink satellites which will join space devices already present in low Earth orbit. The goal is to build a constellation to provide Internet access worldwide.
On Pocket Rocket, we find the details of each upcoming space mission, for example its type, its objective, its progress, its departure location or even its date with the presence of a countdown . These are listed in chronological order.
That's not all, since the application includedan augmented reality modewhich offers the possibility of seeing the rockets used during space missions from all angles. Otherwise, the service also offers a 3D display available in full screen from the platform interface.
