A document filed by Apple in 2018 with the United States National Intellectual Property Agency therefore shows us a large headset similar to what the competition does in terms of design, but adopting adifferent order mode.

For example, it would be possible to use gestures or a touchpad to control music, and thisregardless of the position of the helmet. Indeed, whether for practicality or style, some people do not always have the headband above their head, which means that the buttons on current models can become complicated to use in a different position.

Thanks also toproximity and optical sensorswhich detect the position of the ear, this solution would allow for example DJs to be able to play on the volume without going through their mixing desk or even athletes to continue to have control over their playlist even during a break, with the headset placed around the neck.

However, nothing is said yet whether Apple plans to one day market a product of this type: abrevetremains a means of protecting an invention.
