A new biannual study conducted by Piper Sandler shows that 87% of American teenagers have an iPhone. An incredibly high figure which shows the popularity of the apple brand on its territory. Even more interesting, 88% of young people surveyed in the study expect their next phone to also be aiPhone.
For Piper Sandler, these figures are a boon for Apple, which is thus able to create its customers of tomorrow. Very present in the American market, with almost one in two sales, Apple continues to work with young people to establish its domination.
A young and loyal clientele
In its analysis report, the company Piper Sandler explains that this very young clientele can play the role of "catalyst" both for iPhone sales, but also for the popularizationApple serviceslike Apple Music, Apple TV+ or Apple Fitness+.
Also interested in the Apple Watch, Piper Sandler did not find such a hook on the Apple connected watch. The latter is on the wrist of “only” 31% of young Americans. But ultimately the figure to remember for Apple is surely that 5% of young people who declared that they owned a connected watch did not have an Apple Watch on their wrist, the remaining 95% had turned to the Cupertino company.
Here again the figures clearly show the domination of the brand on the American continent. Homeland of Apple, the firm is trying to mark the territory with ever more popular products. 10 years ago the same study showed that 40% of adolescents owned an iPhone.
Apple is more popular than ever in the United States
The figure has doubled, which clearly shows that Apple has been able to take advantage of the evolution of society (phones are arriving more and more quickly in the lives of young people) and has established itself as the reference brand among adolescents. who, for some, have only known Apple in their digital lives.
A “lockdown” within the ecosystem which is sought by Apple and which the Cupertino company is trying to put in place earlier and earlier. During the presentation ofthe latest Apple Watch SE, Apple supported the fact that this tool would be perfect for children, still too young for a cell phone.
