iOS 16: 6 new Siri features that will change everything

You also need an active internet connection to download speech models. Furthermore, not all languages are supported with this new Siri feature, but French and English (United States and United Kingdom) are.

Siri sends messages without your confirmation

Still on the message side, know that with the update to iOS 16 you also benefit from a new feature that will save you time: SMS messages are sent automatically with Siri,without you having to confirm the shipment. The option can be enabled or disabled from Settings to suit your needs. For example, we advise you to deactivate it if you tend to make vocal errors: this will give you time to correct the text.

Siri can turn auto answer on or off

In iOS 16, you can enable or disable automatic answering of calls via Siri. Under iOS 15 and previous versions, you had to go toSettings > Accessibility > Touch > Call exitsand activate or deactivate the “Auto-reply” function manually.

Siri can hang up for you

Siri can hang up a call for you. During a call in progress, simply ask Siri “Hey Siri, hang up”. Be careful, the person on the other end of the line obviously hears the request.

Siri can read your notifications orally in earbuds (MFi) when they are connected to iOS 16, or on speaker. A welcome novelty for visually impaired people.
