During a presentation broadcast onson service de streaming YouTube, Google has just presented its brand newChromecast. This now comes with a remote control which offers a Netflix button as well as a microphone, and transforms any television into a connected object. The software installed there is now called Google TV: goodbyeAndroid, as was the case a little before with the arrival of Wear OS on watches. Only downside:no Stadiaon the program.

Still for multimedia, the speakerNest Audiolooks pretty much like a HomePod and costs $99 in the US. It will be ideal to accompany the HDMI dongle, which will sell for 69.99 euros from us and is available in three colors:Dawn,SnowetCiel.

The new Pixels
Google also launched an improved version of the Pixel 4a, this time compatible with the standard5G. Not yet available in France, this allows theoretical speeds exceeding one gigabyte per second to be achieved. This Pixel 4a 5G also has a better battery than last year's Pixel 4, and still has reduced borders with punch on the screen. Price: $499, with 3.5mm jack port as a bonus.
But probably the most impressive thing is thePixel 5, with its 8 GB of RAM, also a Qualcomm processor and the same rear photo sensor. The latter can immortalize large shots in HDR+ with its ultra-wide-angle lens, while portrait mode now works without problem at night. The Pixel 5 is also water resistant, and offers wireless and reverse charging, which is not the case withiPhone.

On the other hand, Android will notonly supported for three yearswith this smartphone: hello planned obsolescence! For comparison, the iPhone 6s - which dates from 2015 - is indeed entitled to iOS 14. Just like the first iPhone SE (March 2016). Finally, like Apple, Google has specified that its Pixels are made from recycled aluminum. But they are much more affordable: 629 euros for the Pixel 5… compared to 699 dollars across the Atlantic. A pricing strategy unlike the Apple brand, which sells its devices more expensively in Europe.
