As the month of August drew to a close, a
approximately months after the launch of Pokémon GO in France, statistics
noted by certain media seemed to indicate a decline in attraction for the
game. As we are curious by nature and we do not stop at
figures coming from very far away, we wanted to know where the readers of iPhon.fr
were in terms of "consumption" of Pokémon GO.
The survey hasstarted here
last August 28, more than 2,200 of you responded, a big
THANKS ! Here are the results and a summary of your comments:
The question was simple: “Where are you with Pokémon GO?”
possible answers were as follows: “I play it a lot”, “I play it
a little" "I played it a lot but it's less the case", "I played it but I
stopped", "I never played it".
The figures have spoken: you are a quarter of the people who have
participated in the survey to have never played it.
Amongthose who installed the game and played, i.e. 1725,
here is what is emerging as a trend:
- 58% still play ita little or a lot, in equal parts
(505 + 492)
- 367 i.e.21% played it but stopped
- 361 i.e.21% also slowed downtheir frequency of
game
We therefore measure wella drop in usewhich confirms
the trend that had been stated elsewhere. However, the game
still retains nearly 80% of its players, which is not
negligible after a month or more!
As for the comments, they are shared betweenthose who tested,
or not, and didn't stick at alland therefore stopped quickly and
those who, on the contrary, continued to levels above 20,
adding arena combat to the simple hunting of the first levels and which
explain howthis game is a hobby like any other, that
we agree 100%.
Next step: getting through the start of the school year and the first frosts!
This will undoubtedly require Niantic to add new features or allow
progression a little more quickly in levels beyond 20 in particular.
