In
2015, the famous Japanese firm Nintendo announced its arrival on mobile
with five titles by March 2017, however only 3 have seen the light of day on
the App Store, Miitomo, Super Mario Run
available here on the App Store, and Fire Emblem Heroes.
The fourth game is Animal Crossing and should be released in the next few
month, and according to the Wall Street Journala game based on the franchise
Zeldawould be the fifth mobile game planned for iPhone and Android.
As with the other previous ones, this new Zelda game for
smartphones would be developedin collaboration with DeNA, and
online game development studio, with which Nintendo had signed a
partnership.
The Wall Street Journal report, however, does not mention what form
would adopt this game, to know if it would be an action RPG game faithful to the
franchise, or just with a Zelda theme with for example a Zelda Run.
After the unprecedented success of the latest opus "The Legend of Zelda: Breath
of the Wild" on the new Nintendo Switch console which was acclaimed by the
specialized press and players as one of the best in the series, the
Expectations will certainly be high regarding this future mobile title.
Still, even if it is a rumor coming from the very serious
Wall Street Journal, Nintendo has not yet confirmed the news, we
will keep you informed.
