Molotov: the cocktail that wants to shake up TV, on the web, smartphones and tablets

This is a bit of an announcement
mysterious which fell yesterday into the rather purring world of
television. Thus, Pierre Lescure (Canal +) and Jean-David Blanc (Allo Ciné),
surrounded by other investors, have just created
Molotov!

A bomb? Maybe, but for now what we know is
that it is ainnovative channel distribution service
TV
…Promising, certainly, but very vague. It will be launched on the web
then on “all screens”, by which I mean smartphones and tablets. SO
it remains mysterious but we can't help but think back to the void left
by the late serviceWizzgo(it's old but it was
top)…

Is this the principle? also practical? It is
possible !

The serviceWizzgo, beheaded by the “rights holders” (like
it is said) after a few months of existence in 2008, offered a video recorder
remote digital. In other words: it was enough to select the
channel, the show and presto, after its broadcast, the show was automatically
downloaded to his mobile machine. All this long before TV said to
"catch-up" only becomes as popular today! We talked about it

at the time here

RegardingMolotov, this so-called “reinvented” TV
will be launchednext fall, after a phase of
beta test this summer. It is possible toregister hereto be on the list. Everything we
known for the moment is that the service wishes to offer "the aggregation of
content, accessibility at all times and their presence on various media",
with the support of social networks and a web interface above all. Capital
of the company amounts to 10 million euros, suffice to say that it is not a
little project!

So, is this a service that will provide access to the request at
all replays of past shows on all channels
confused? To download it to watch it on your machine in
local ?

Is it something else? We will probably know soon.

Wishing it wasn't a little late for a TV that is now shunned
by younger generations, for the benefit of services such as YouTube or
NetFlix.

And you, ideas onupcoming content
Molotov.tv
?
