Silo (Apple TV+): the star of the series makes a major revelation for the sequel

It’s a big hit for Apple TV+. After the critical and popular success ofSilo, the streaming platform has ordered a second season of its series, filming of which has recently ended. This sequel is of course eagerly awaited by subscribers, but Rebecca Ferguson, the star of this fiction, has just made a rather shocking revelation.

Three more seasons for Silo?

Interviewed byCollider, she indeed affirmed that this series was designed for the long term. The actress explains:

I believe the series has an end, and I know when it will happen. So that's the answer. You'll find out when the series is over. To be honest, I don't think it's a secret. Books are books. There are three books, and the three books are divided into four seasons. So I think (…) we can definitely say that season 1 is over. Season 2 has been filmed and will be released soon, and we're now considering greenlighting seasons 3 and 4. And I think maybe we'll film them together, and that will be the end of it.

Four seasons forSilo, this perspective is sure to appeal to all those who appreciated this successful launch on the streaming service. This success has alsobeen rewardedof a British Film Designers Guild Award in the “best production design” category for a TV series last February.

Let us remember thatthis fictiontakes us into a future where the outside world is toxic and the air on the surface is literally unbreathable. Humanity therefore took refuge in a giant 144-story silo which is the last refuge on planet Earth. This fate is not idyllic for the last survivors, because they are required to respect strict rules supposed to protect them. The main one: never think about going out or do it.

Are you enjoying this series, and if so, what do you think about the prospect of watching three more seasons? Tell us in the comments.
