We have already had
the opportunity to tell you about Sphero,a small Bluetooth ball that
can be controlled using your iPhone, iPadou smartphone
Android.
We must admit, even if the object seems really amusing, we quickly
going in circles with… Note the fabulous Monday pun which
announces a prosperous week… 😉
Enough of the joke, sinceOrbotix, the company behind
this unique accessory, decided to offer fun applications
for Sphero using for example augmented reality:
It already exists9 applications that can be used with the ballet
clearly Orbotix does not intend to stop there. Even if
the price of Sphero is a bit high, it should be noted thatall
applications are free.
One of the two apps currently in development will transformSphero
as a Bluetooth controller in a shooting game. You will be in charge there
of a spaceship and the ball will be used to move around the screen of
iPad from left to right, but also on a vertical axis. Sphero se
then transforms into a visibly very responsive 3D controller.
Second line of work at Orbotix, augmented reality. Thanks to the iPad,
the ball you control turns into a little man on a tank. Even
although for the moment it may seem simple, the company claims to be working on
a 3D engine allowing you to immerse the ball in a real universe and
even consider multiplayer gaming.
Regardless, the potential of this ball is enormous and its
developers seem to want to make the most of it. I'm waiting
looking forward to the next developments around Sphero, but not that
advances and the more I want to treat myself to this pretty gadget.
