One of the services
the best known in terms of music streaming is Spotify, which exists in
computer and mobile version.
For now,Spotifyis offered in its mobile version
with a premium subscription allowing you to benefit from all the
features such as offline listening for example. This could
evolve because the service would negotiate the possibility ofoffer more
features for free thanks to advertising.
Strong of20 million active users including 6 million subscribers
paid, Spotify has a certain leverage to negotiate with
majors.
If the computer version allows free but limited access and with
advertisements, this is not yet the case on mobile. This nuance could
evolve according to the Wall Street Journal which speaks of agreements signed with Sony,
Universal or even Warner.
So, a bit like iTunes Radio (not available in France for
moment), Spotify intends tofinance this listening thanks to
pubalso on mobile. Of course, you should not expect either
find all the features of paid accounts (€9.99/month), but we
can hope to count on personalized radio stations and some
songs on demand even if the choice may be more limited.
An announcement on this subject could be made as early as this week.
