At the beginning of December, the firm
of Cupertino announced on its portal reserved for developers that the latest
major version iOS 11 was deployed on more than59% of
compatible machines in circulation, after a launch at the end of September.
And almost a month and a half later, Apple has just updated the rate
adoption of iOS 11 with a figure of65% of iOS machines in the
mondewho use iOS 11, slower adoption than iOS 10 year
last one who had reached the76 %at the beginning of the month
January.
Compared to the same period in previous years, iOS 9 was at
76%, 68% for iOS 8, and 80% for iOS 7, so it seems that the rate
adoption of iOS 11 eitherthe least goodfor several
versions d’iOS.
In terms of the methodology used by Apple to measure the rate
adoption of the latest versions of iOS, the Cupertino company counts the
iOS machines that connect to the App Store.
iOS 10, the old major version, is still present on28% of
compatible Apple devices, and the remaining 7% preferred to stay
in the past by keeping an even older version of the system
operating.
The last significant version of iOS was iOS 11.2, which launched in
beginning of December and which offers several new features, such as Apple Pay
Cash (US only) and a
faster wireless chargingfor iPhone X and iPhone 8. It has
surely helped boost the adoption rate of iOS 11.
Concerning the news of iOS versions, Apple should publish this
week iOS 11.2.5 which will correct thebug
Message crashand include the ability to ask Siri for
news in English, the latter probably intended for the speaker
HomePod, the launch of which should not be long.
After a few months of use and several corrective versions that
do you think about iOS 11?
