A little over a year ago, the firm of
Cupertino launched wireless Bluetooth headphones or “AirPods”, which we
had testedhere in this article
and which very quickly met with great success, even causing a shortage
for many months.
However, a year after the release of AirPods, as The Verge points out,
there is still no real successful alternative on the competition side, which
is a shame, especially for users for whom the specific form of
Apple's wireless earbuds don't fit their ears.
There are many other similar products, such as the wireless headphones from
Bose, B&O Play or other solutions from other brands. But according to the
different testers, these products are nowhere near as good as AirPods,
with notable connection losses, while some are also more
expensive than what Apple offers.
AirPods are probably one of the best premiere products
generation of Apple, which integrate an internally designed W1 Bluetooth chip,
which allows very good connection quality and good range, but also
easy pairing with Apple products.
While waiting for a second generation, Apple plans to launch a
wireless charging which would come out at the same time as the wireless charger
multi-deviceAirPower, which, according toa
recent rumor, could be available at the end of March.
The latter, like the normal box, would provide 24 hours
additional autonomy to AirPods, which offer more or less 5
hours of battery life on a full charge.
For our part, at the editorial office, we are still satisfied with the
AirPods after a year spent with, thanks to their ease of use, their
lightness and above all the absence of wire which allows the iPhone to be left in a
another room while continuing to listen to music or a podcast, or even
speak with a correspondent.
Are you happy with your AirPods?
