From June 7 to 11, the next edition of the Worldwide Developer Conference will take place. Usually, on this occasion, Apple mainly reveals changes to its operating systems. Indeed, products are mostly announced during general public keynotes, while WWDC mainly aims to educate publishers and keep them informed of updates.
Last year, for example, we had the opportunity to discover iOS 14 but also macOS Big Sur and all their additional features. Inour detailed summary, we also explained that Cupertino decided to abandon processors manufactured by Intel to include its own CPUs in Macs. This is now done for several models, including the thirteen-inch MacBook Pro…which could already be entitled to one more version.
Questionable source
It all starts when Apple shares a new visual to illustrate WWDC 2021:

According to some Internet users who analyzed the content of the screen which is reflected in the glasses of the character on the left, we can read the Unicode characters of different emojis: sleeping, eating and computer. It was enough for some to see it as a clue linked to the potential presentation of new MacBooks during the conference. But obviously, even if the information has been relayed in numerous media it is in fact unlikely: Apple never leaves traces of this type on purpose.
The reflections in the#WWDC21graphic are different emoji symbols:

On the contrary, the company likes to cultivate secrecy about its launches, even hunting down leaks of all kinds. Or they are well-established marketing operations, such aswhen Lossless Audio was long overdue. Furthermore, three computers are also in the foreground of the image without any hypothesis having been made about them.
What model in sight?
Despite everything, Jon Prosser then came to outbid by assuring for his part that a MacBook Pro would indeed be in the cards. Having already been correct more than 78% of the time, his predictions remain reasonable even if most often almost obvious. Here, this is far from being the first time that we have heard of a laptop for the middle of the year.

The 13″ MacBook Air and MacBook Pro date from November, so we can assume that it is the edition with a sixteen-inch panel that is being prepared for WWDC 2021, with Apple silicon on board. But some also talk about its compact version which would have a larger diagonal, likethis was the case for the 16″ at the end of 2019. Patience…
