Update – Apple Music: “lossless” mode for June!

Update of May 17, 2021 – 5 p.m.: thunderclap,Apple has made it officialthe arrival of a high definition mode for Apple Music, for the month of June, with the release of iOS 14.6, and thisat no additional cost. 20 million titles will be affected initially, 75 million by the end of the year! No price change?

At this time, no official details about this change have been communicated. However, previous leaks have already speculated thatthe option would be delivered at no extra cost to all users. Which is not the case at Tidal, Amazon or Deezer. The French service asks 14.99 euros per month for Hi-Fi compared to 9.99 euros per month without.

Today, Apple streaming packages start at 9.99 euros per month. But there is also a special rate dedicated to students, five euros cheaper. Families, for their part, can share a subscription for 14.99 euros monthly.

Note also that even if Apple Music is available on Android, it is possible that users of the Google OS will not take full advantage of it following this supposed update. Specific features linked to Dolby quality would therefore be absent during the deployment of the next version.
