Unboxing and discovery
As always with Dodocool, this is the minimum required in the box, with the
product itself, a warranty card and a mini-manual which is not used to
big thing for once.
We quickly put the paperwork aside to concentrate on
the charger. This one is dressed all in black. Folded on itself, it measures 90
x 52 x 15.50 mm for a weight of 71 g. It is covered with a plastic material
soft, pleasant to the touch and not too sensitive to fingerprints or
dust. A non-slip part on the bottom should ensure good
held on smooth surfaces.
A small notch at the back allows you to grasp the part intended for
recharge and wind it up to tilt it up to an angle of 45°. This happens
done without difficulty and proves sufficiently solid not to fall (even
by shaking the support). Good point on that side.
The cable allowing connection to a USB socket is connected to the support by
the front, it is not removable. Its length is comfortable since it measures 1
mr. The USB charger is not provided, it is possible to use the one
l’iPhone.
Not much to complain about in the first place in the construction of the support, in
both sober, well made and above all discreet.
In use
The roller being magnetic, the watch is easily installed on its companion
recharge. The support can be used both flat and tilted at an angle
can go up to 45°, the Apple Watch stays in place in all
cas.
The support has the advantage of allowing the user to place their watch on it
different ways. In the horizontal position, we benefit from the nightstand mode,
or more classically vertical.
Regarding use in this mode, it is not intended to activate
only from a certain angle. But that allowed by the support turns out to be
unfortunately insufficient. Too bad, because only a few degrees would have
enough!
Beyond this criticism, the compact format of the support makes it a good
traveling companion, with one regret. That the cable is not longer
or above all removable, to be able to exchange it for another more or less long
depending on the case, or to renew it once too worn, which can happen in
a bag full of belongings.
Finally, last little criticism: the bottom, although it has a
anti-slip coating, is not enough to keep the support in place on the
smoothest surfaces.
Conclusion
In summary, this support is a good solution for those who want to obtain a
additional way to recharge your watch. The integrated roller does its job,
everything is MFi certified, so there is nothing to worry about when it comes to charging, and finally,
the construction of the whole reassures as to the solidity and resistance during
future transport. We also like its discreet and sober style, but we
regrets small defects, such as the non-removable USB cable or the inclination
maximum arm, insufficient for bedside table mode. Apart from that, for
the price, it's difficult to really be choosy!
