An Apple document reveals its autonomous driving tests

Documents of the test procedure of
autonomous cars being tested at Apple have leaked. Business Insider has indeed
was able to get my hands on different papers explaining maneuvering procedures
and verification of Apple's autonomous driving system. So this is the
first time that we can see a rather obvious trace of this system of
automated driving at the apple:

These guidance documents for testing the autonomous system are
certainly linked to the
latest information
according to which Apple is now authorized to test
autonomous cars in California on the public road network. We can
then imagine that these papers describe test procedures for these
tests on Californian public network.

Among the test maneuvers, this involves checking the behavior of the
system when driving at high speeds, driving at low speeds, or
still turning at high speed. There are also typical maneuver tests
U-turn, hard braking or sustained acceleration.

For each of the test maneuvers, a column indicates the instructions for
the technician performing the test. It is particularly described when the latter must
regain control of the vehicle, under what conditions, etc.

We remind you that the authorization given by the Californian state covers 3
Lexurs RX450h cars and 6 driver technicians, who, according to the source, are
for some former employees of Bosch and Tesla.

Week after week, Apple's Titan project is taking shape.
