For the latter, there is a way to do this without requiring an internet connection at the time of verification (the app still needs to access the internet from time to time). Its use is very simple, detailed below.
Valid or invalid pass
TousAntiCovid Verif therefore has only one function, that of being able to scan a QR code or a 2D-DOC code seen on a paper or digital health pass.

Once the code is detected by the application, it delivers its result:
- Valid:the user has a valid health pass, with a negative test less than 72 hours old, or a positive test more than 11 days old and less than 6 months old, or a vaccine taken more than 7 days ago (28 days for the JANSSEN vaccine)
- Invalids:in the event of lack of validity of one of the criteria set out above

The name, first name and date of birth are also indicated in the report provided by the app.
What security for private data?
The application concerns private information, so it is normal to expect it to be impeccable in terms of data processing. Except that until now, TousAntiCovid Verif has not been the best student in this area. On the one hand,like the iGen reportin a recent article, a bug caused the app to see any QR code as valid on Android, when the application was used in English… This bug was fortunately corrected quickly.
Otherwise, the application was concerned by the use of American servers for the conversion of certificates. The developers of the app from IN Group have also corrected the situation byend-to-end encryption of data passing through servers.
Finally, the first version of the application sent a lot of data to a single server, without encryption. It was then easy to cross-reference the name, first name, time and place of the verification. Lots of information about a user in one place. IN Group would also have made changes there and now ensures thatno more readable information comes out of the phone.
Attention :if the TousAntiCovid Verif application is accessible to all,its use is reserved for professionals. In the event of inappropriate use, the law provides for a maximum sanction of one year in prison and a fine of 45,000 euros.
