While vacation departures are imminent,
Orange has just announced the arrival of the4G on three new lines
by TGV, namelyParis-Tours-Bordeaux,
Paris-Le Mans-RennesetParis-Lille.
For its part, the SNCF is also preparing theTGV connection
on WiFi, thanks to the installation, by Orange, of more than a hundred pylons on
the surroundings of TGV lines, making it possible to cover the trains in connection 3 or
4G, transmitted to customers via WiFi.
These three new TVG lines covered by Orange 4G are added
to TVG linesParis-LyonetLyon-Marseille
already covered since February 2016 and February 2017.
According to Orange, the 4G connection must work continuously throughout the
journey, except when the train passes through a tunnel, the only time when it can
have a temporary outage.
Incidentally, the operator reminds that it also covers the line in 4G
Eurostar which connects Paris to London, for the entire duration of the crossing of the
Channel Tunnel.
And if a user is not an Orange or Sosh subscriber, they can always
switch to the TGV WiFi connection provided that it is operational on
the line.
Will you soon be traveling on a TVG line covered in 4G?
