A few weeks before the release of the new iPhones, the rumors are more and more numerous and are intended to be more and more precise. On the social network X (formerly Twitter) well-known user Majin Bu posted photos of what appears to be an iPhone 15 Pro Max case.
Interesting information to note that the phone is named« iPhone 15 Ultra »by the informant, a choice far from trivial for Apple which would thus like to stand out between the “Pro” model and the “Pro Max” model which thus becomes “Ultra”. The arrival of this name coincides with the arrival of a key technology of the Apple Watch Ultra, the “Action” button.

In the images published by Majin Bu, this button is very clearly visible on the hulls. It would take the place of the “silence/ring” switch at the top left of the phone. As on the Apple connected watch, the arrival of this button should allow the user to trigger a specific functionality with a single click.

Depending on the customization choices made, the “action” button could serve several purposes such as accessibility settings, using flash or launching a video. Apple has obviously not yet officially communicated on all these points, so they should be taken with caution.
A button still very vague
The arrival of an action button on the next iPhones is causing a lot of ink to flow. But although the rumors are unanimous on the presence of this button, they contradict each other as to its function. The action button could thus function as a ring-silent switch according to Mark Gurman.
