USB-C is preparing to kill the jack socket too!

Many sources agree on the fact
that the jack should disappear from the iPhone 7. Instead, the
users will have to use wireless headsets or connect them via
la prise Lightning.

But this announced assault could spread to others
smartphones! Indeed, during an Intel conference this week, the
architects of the firm explained that the USB-C port already used on
several smartphones were goingadvantageously replace the jack socket
historical
. It isaccording to Intel the "right" connector for
audio
:

USB-C firstly saves space in smartphones by
the absence of the circuit allowing the analog signal to be converted into a signal
digital. Depending on the audio specifications of USB-C, it would also be possible
to obtain apurest sound, to benefit from the
noise reductionand use “extra bass” type effects
or "concert hall".

This technology also offersvery fine management of
energy
. Thus, the system can turn off the microphone when the
headphones are used to listen to music, and thus prevent the
microphone does not consume precious battery power unnecessarily.

But this comes at a cost... Many audiophiles own headphones
expensive with a jack socket, this will require the purchase of an adapter to
be able to use them on other Lightning (Apple) or USB-C type ports.

Regardless, thedays of the 3.5mm jack are now
accounts
, not only at Apple, Intel confirms it.
