Video: Apple’s masterful “Titanium” campaign

Apple has just shared a brand new promotional video on its YouTube channel. We can discover the iPhone 15 Pro there, as well as a particular emphasis on its titanium chassis. This is the first time that the iPhone range has this feature. Previously, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max were released in stainless steel. Today, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is also made of titanium.

There are several colors to choose from. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are available in:

natural titanium
blue titanium
white titanium
black titanium

Unlike other elements such as gold or tungsten, the titanium of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max is not announced as recycled.The second generation Apple Watch Ultra, however, also has a titanium case. However, a carbon neutral edition has recently existed. We can therefore assume that Apple has the know-how necessary for recycling titanium. What are the advantages of titanium?

Titanium is stronger than stainless steel, but it is also lighter. These are the main benefits of this material.

For comparison, the aluminum in the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus is much more brittle. Its coating is less resistant to falls, shocks or scratches.

Regardless of the iPhone 15 model chosen, a protective case is still essential. You can find them for only a few dozen euros on Amazon, or at other resellers. Editions are also available in the Apple Store, but the price is often higher at Cupertino than at the competition.

Other new design features

Beyond the arrival of a more solid titanium shell, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max also have a new button this year. Called “Action button”, this allows you to trigger a shortcut of your choice. The interface replaces the button to switch to silent mode. If the name “Action button” is not foreign to you, that’s normal: the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is also entitled to it, just likethe previous model.

With this, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max also feature a better size/screen ratio. In addition to being lighter by switching to titanium, the mobiles are thus more compact, without losing their screen in diagonal. Allow 6.1 inches for the iPhone 15 Pro and 6.7 inches for the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
