Last week,
a report from TrendForceclaimed that the iPhone 8 would not have a screen
curved because of too good timing for Apple to offer it this year,
However, a major American newspaper has just published news which has just
contradict this rumor.
Indeed, according to sources from the Wall Street Journal,l’iPhone 8
would integrate well with a screen rounded on the edgeslike the
Samsung Galaxy Edge smartphones, and the other two iPhone 7s and 7s Plus
would adoptan LCD screen.
This latest data on the two other iPhones which would be revealed
together with the iPhone 8, suggests that
160 million OLED screens ordered by Applefrom Samsung will be
intended for the iPhone 8.
With so many OLED displays, Apple likely has internal predictions that
are counting on record sales of iPhone 8, and the Cupertino company wants
certainly avoid stock problems which are commonplace every time
iPhone launch.
However, to sell that many, the iPhone 8 will have to be very attractive and
offer enough new features to convince users to buy
a model that may be quite expensive.
As a reminder, according to the latest rumors, in
plus the curved screen, the iPhone 8 would incorporate a reinforced steel chassis,
a Home/Touch ID button that disappears under the screen, wireless charging,
and a new 3D sensor on the front with reality features
increased.
