Apple presented during the WWDC opening conference last MondayWatchOS 10. The system update for Apple's connected watches was announced as the most important in years. Ultimately the analysts' enthusiasm was quickly dampened by Tim Cook's teams who unveiled some new features, far from the expected revolution.
But a new option was not mentioned by Apple during this conference. It concernsl’Apple Watch Ultramarketed since last year as the ultimate watch for sportsmen. According to information from 9to5Mac, the latter now has an automatic “night” mode.
This automation is enabled by the presence of light sensors on the watch. These calculate the brightness level of the environment in real time. If the latter is low, the watch then switches to “night” mode for better reading comfort.
If, on the contrary, the watch is used in direct sunlight, it will use its 2000 nits to provide a screen“twice as bright as any other Apple Watch.”Apple hopes that this new feature will allow watch users to be more free in their movements.
A smarter watch that wants to be forgotten
Until now, night mode was already available on Apple Watches, but it had to be activated manually by the user themselves. A tedious little manual modification which was not to the taste of many people. With this change Apple wants to simplify the use of the watch so that its wearers concentrate exclusively on their performance.
Apple did not present any new Apple Watches during the last edition of WWDC. We will surely have to wait until September for the apple brand to lift the veil on the next products that will adorn our wrists. In the meantime, you can find a summary of all the rumors concerning themright here.
