It's not a
secret that to stay healthy and live longer, it is
recommended to exercise regularly, but also to eat
healthily, but certain products in supermarkets are less good for the
health than others.
When asked how to differentiate good products from bad products,
French developers recently launched a fairly practical app,
Yuka, which allows these to be scanned for
know which ones are better for your health.
After scanning a product's barcode, which takes 1/10th of
second with Yuka, she displays theproduct sheetin
question and indicate witha color code and a statement, and
it is excellent, good, mediocre, or bad for your health.
If the product is mediocre or bad the app suggests alternatives
similar products which are more recommended, par
example less sweet cereals, or grated cheese containing less
additives harmful to health.
For users who want to know more about the scanned product, the
sheet also indicates different values classified into two parts, namely
the defects and qualities of the product.
The app also offers aproduct rankingwith
different categories to, for example, display the “healthiest” pizzas
for health, or even fruit juices with the least added sugar.
According to our tests, it references a large number of products thanks to the
Open Food Facts free database.
In short, a well-designed app to buy more intelligently,
which is aimed at users concerned about their diet and their
health.
The app is available free of charge foriPhone et iPad, et
does not includeno in-app purchases.
