An almost unchanged design

If you've already picked up an iPhone 12 Pro or an iPhone 12 Pro Max, their successors may not really surprise you. In fact, they adopt almost the same format even if they are a little thicker. If in our opinion it is certainly not the most efficient of the voice assistants, it nevertheless remains a very appreciated asset on iPhone 13 Pro. Also present on iPhone 13 Pro Max, this artificial intelligence is capable of answering your simplest questions about the time, date, your calendar, etc.

Connectivity

Both the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are 5G compatible. This means that you can use them to download files very quickly and connect to the antennas of the eponymous network. Thanks to their nano SIM port, the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are also able to read most cards provided by French operators.

iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max: battery life

Powered by a proprietary Lightning port, iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro are compatible with wireless charging. A fairly short USB cable is supplied with the box of each smartphone. In our opinion, it would have been better to also provide a power adapter, which was ultimately refused. The reason? This would reduce the negative environmental impact of the iPhone 13 Pro technical sheet.

According to the manufacturer, the iPhone 13 Pro is capable of lasting up to 22 hours of video playback compared to 20 of streaming and 75 of audio. The iPhone 13 Pro Max, on the other hand, does better: this time it can endure up to 28 hours of video playback for 25 hours of streaming or 95 hours of music. A record, quite simply. Apple unfortunately does not specify what method was used to achieve such results. We therefore advise you to consider these figures with the greatest caution.

Indeed, as a counter-example, an iPhone 13 Pro Max on Netflix on 5G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on and with the sound volume at maximum consumes much more energy with its large screen than an iPhone 13 Pro with a single modem running and dialogues on wired speaker.

iPhone 13 Pro review

We have now reached the end of this review which includes the technical sheet of the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max. We cannot leave you without revealing our opinion on each model. What do we think of the iPhone 13 Pro, then? For us, it is quite simply the best value for money in the iPhone 13 Pro range. Indeed, the technical sheet is almost equal to that of the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Performance, camera, software, connectivity: all this does not change.

Unfortunately, the price of the iPhone 13 Pro is a little too expensive and its “only” 6?1 inch screen is clearly no match for the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

iPhone 13 Pro Max review

The iPhone 13 Pro Max, on the other hand, is in our opinion the best in this duel. Indeed, we can say that the iPhone 13 Pro Max is a beast of the stage with its unparalleled power in an already saturated market. What's more, it holds a charge much longer, a sign that nomads will appreciate it even more. Its only fault perhaps lies in its form factor: heavier and more imposing, it may not suit everyone. Of course, its price is also higher, but will guarantee an extraordinary experience.
