Our RED by SFR opinion: as a student or city dweller, it is best to choose the most affordable offer. Otherwise, if you are traveling, subscriptions with datainternationalare probably the most sensible options. In the end, with the reductions that are put forward on this mobile plan, you can quite easily make a saving of 20% compared to the prices displayed above.
A full range of smartphones available
Before, during or after selecting the RED by SFR mobile plan that suits you, you can also buy a smartphone from the same seller. The price will decrease depending on the subscription you choose. Enough about the packages, let's move on to the offersfixes. Because RED by SFR also rents its own boxes and decoders, to connect via Wi-Fi from home and watch television on a big screen. Allow 23 euros per month to access fiber in all major cities in the country, or 16 euros if your accommodation is not compatible (in this case, ADSL is provided). Of course, this service is also without obligation, and calls to landlines in France and more than a hundred different destinations are unlimited.
To give you an opinion on the RED by SFR boxes, the best thing is to choose an offercombinedwith your package: the amount you will have to pay will then be lower overall. You can then cancel one of the two lines if you are not satisfied.
Portability: how to switch from another operator?
Regardless of the name of the operator with whom you have subscribed until now, know that if your opinion about it is particularly negative, you can easily switch to RED by SFR at no additional cost. Of course, your old ISP may charge you thetermination, but you can keep your personal mobile number. The procedure only takes a few minutes, and requires obtaining the RIO code for your current plan.
To do this, you must dial the free telephone number 31 79 from your linemobilecurrent (for mainland France). The RIO code is then sent by SMS to your mobile, and specifies the end date of your plan commitment if there is one, which allows you to know whether or not you are eligible for portability.
You are aware that the various French operators are starting to deploy their 5G antennas, for entry into service next year according to the schedule ofARCEP. If this new network is the source of strong opinions both among all citizens of the country but also among existing customers of RED by SFR, the studies carried out to date do not however demonstrate any negative effects on health .
Furthermore, to date, although the most serious rumors assure that the majority of 5G subscriptions will be more expensive than those accessing 4G, this is not a concern for most individuals. On TrustPilot, the company obtains 1.5 stars out of 5 only for 720 comments, a rating similar tothat of B&You, an alternative in the similar price range. As for the brand's stores on Google Maps, they are generally better evaluated, with an average score around 3/5 depending on the addresses.
On the portable side, the RED by SFR application on iOS achieves excellent4,4/5, against a more timid 3.8/5 on the Play Store. Options available at extra cost
After subscribing to a RED by SFR package, you have the possibility of adding options, as you would when purchasing a vehicle. Among those that are available, we find in particular “extensions” ofcommunication abroad, useful for the many expatriates living in France.
Maghreb packages, available in two hours, one hour or thirty minutes, offer, for example, limited calls to landlines and mobiles in the North African region for the chosen duration. You can also choose the same type of subscription for Europe, or even prohibit surcharged uses automatically.
Of course, many third-party applications have also formed a partnership with SFR for the occasion, such asNetflix, whose prices remain the same from 7.99 euros per month.
Most other services, such as Amazon Prime, do not change prices for the occasion, which in our opinion is not worth going through this intermediary: you might as well subscribe from the official apps of each platform . The Plus Sport bouquet, on the other hand, is priced at 35 euros per month (with one-year commitment) instead of the usual 40. It gives access to the homonymous RMC TV channels, BeIN, Equidia and Golf Channel.

Application: flawless
Let's get down to business: how is the RED by SFR app doing, which is used to configure your package online, without needing to go to the store? In reality, very good, and in our opinion it is 20/20 compared to certain MVNOs which only have an online and not very ergonomic customer area.
Also available oniOSthan on Android, this solution offers the possibility of monitoring consumption in real time, thus avoiding unexpected amounts of deductions. A chat is also available to contact SFR in the event of a problem, while invoices can be consulted every month and retroactively.
Notifications can be configured as desired, and the options have a system ofsubscriptionand unsubscribe directly in the application. The software also allows you to enter and modify all of your personal information, very useful in the event of a change of address followed by loss of mobile requiring the ordering of a new SIM card. Finally, on the UI side, we find the characteristic fluorescent green of RED by SFR and easily accessible menus thanks to minimalist icons suitable for all audiences.

Coverage: SFR still lagging behind
It's a shame, but SFR is unfortunately notnot the first operatorFrench in terms of network coverage. If on 3G and previous generations of our means of mobile internet communication the differences with the competition are not really noticeable, we still note a small gap at the level of 4G.
