Apple launched the marketing of the Apple Vision Pro last February. If expectations around a new product are always very high on the Cupertino side, the Apple brand has tripped itself up with its virtual reality headset. The Apple Vision Pro isfar from having had the hoped-for success, so much so that production is now slowing down, if not at a standstill.
However, Apple does not intend to abandon the virtual reality headset market for the moment. The Cupertino company has invested a lot of money in recent years in this area, it wants to give itself another chance. One of the areas for improvement would be cost reduction.
Apple is reportedly trying to launch a virtual reality headset cheaper than the current model (sold for 3,500 euros). Since the beginning of the summer, Apple has notably increased contacts with suppliers to produce new screens, thinner and less expensive than the technology currently used in the Vision Pro.

Withthe next Apple Vision Pro,Apple would rely on an OLED screen with a resolution of 1500 pixels per inch (ppi). This may seem like a lot, but the current Vision Pro offers 3391 ppi. The loss in quality would be enormous and obviously visible at first glance.
For now, it is Samsung which seems on track to win the contract and produce these new OLED screens on behalf of Apple. It remains to be seen when the Apple brand plans to market a new version of its Apple Vision Pro. After the commercial failure of this first model, the Cupertino company already has no room for error.
In any case, it will be interesting to see the words chosen byTim Cookand its teams during the presentation of this product. Will they talk about it as an evolution, a new version, or an affordable but technologically limited little brother, like the iPhone SE can be on the smartphone market?
