It's now been almost a year since Apple
lifted the veil on its vision of the connected home, it was at WWDC 2014.
Since then, the least we can say is that what was called HomeKit
hasn't been talked about much until recent days.
It all started last week with an article in Fortune relayed by
MacRumors and which suggested thatthe arrival of the first products
HomeKit compatible devices had been postponed until at least the end of August.
What Apple was quick to deny:
It is in the Wall Street Journal that Apple, through the voice of one of its
spokesperson, confirms that HomeKit certification was in place since
a few months and there were already dozens of partners who planned
to launch HomeKit products on the market. The first are
also expected from next month.
We understand that it is not in Apple's interest to confirm a postponement of the
launch of Homekit products which are already long overdue. No doubt
that we should hear about Apple's connected home duringof
the next developers conferenceaubeginning of June. In this
regarding compatible products, we will then see if the launch in
June is confirmed. Once again, business to follow…
