We spoke to you yesterday ince
billetof the next release of iOS 4.3 scheduled for March 11.
As with any new version of iOS, Apple has made available
developers the GM version (Build 8F190), which is the most
complete before the official release available to all users.
This new opus will becompatible with iPad 2, iPad, iPhone 4,
iPhone 3GS, 3rd and 4th generation iPod Touch. Exit then, the
iPhone 3G and 1st and 2nd generation iPod Touch.
Unlike the beta versions, theGM version features “Nitro”, the
new JavaScript engine for Safari Mobilewhich is announced as
much faster than the previous version.
Let's look at what this new engine brings.
igeneration
to be able to see viaSunSpider, Who
remember, evaluate theperformance of a JavaScript engine,
the great improvement in the speed of Safari which proves formidable in the face
in particular to competition from Android.
With thetest completed in 4114 ms, the iPhone 4 is almost the
the fastest phone on the market in this little game.
As a reminder,under iOS 4.2 it took a little over 10,000
msto carry out this test.
As for the iPad, it would appear that the optimization is even better. If
under iOS 4.2, the iPhone and iPad achieved fairly close scores,
l’iPad turns out to be around 20% faster with just 3437 ms
to complete the test.
This is good news that we will be able to see for ourselves as soon as
the official release of iOS 4.3 on March 11. 🙂
What do you think of these good results? For iPhone owners
3G, what do you plan to do in the future?
