Definitely
Final Fantasy Tactics was left waiting until the last minute, since
we imagined (and hoped) its release for last weeket
that it did not take place (see article). But the uncertainties are finally
pass. It is now confirmed, validated, promised, sworn, spit, wooden cross
iron cross if Square Enix lies he will go to hell:Final Fantasy
Tactics will be released this Thursday on the App Store.
And the price?
On the other hand, as one might expect, the price is quite high “for a
game from the App Store” sinceSquare Enix has fixed the version
iPhone/iPod Touch at 12.99 euros. Obviously we immediately want
to put things into perspective: this is not a casual game at 0.79 or
even 2.39 euros, but a HUGE game to which you have to devote between 50
and 80 hours to get to the end of it, scripted from A to Z and with a richness that
required a huge team of art and programmers. Strictly speaking, one
real reason to complain would lie in its availability for PSP on the Playstation Store at
9.99 euros. Yes, but this version is full of slowdowns in
comparison with the original version on Playstation 1 (sold second hand
between 70 and 150 euros by the way). And we hope that the version
iPhone (and even more the iPad version) will establish itself as THE definitive version
of the game to repair the technical damages of the PSP version.

Conclusion: Objectively Final Fantasy Tactics is well worth its
12.99 euros, we guarantee it since it will instantly establish itself as one
of the best games available on the App Store, if not the best all
short and richest. If Square Enix also corrects the defects of the
PSP version, we will be entitled to the best version on all supports.
And the iPad version?Well as announced it will be necessary
wait until the end of the month to see it arrive on the App Store. The memory
recent release of Final Fantasy 3 helping, we can expect that it
is available at a price between 14 and 16 euros.
