25% off the Vision Pro: a major reduction at Apple

Apple is offering 25% off its mixed reality headset, theVision Pro, to its employees. The price then falls to around the equivalent of 2,500 euros (without any additional taxes), while the base price is set at $3,499 across the Atlantic. We do not yet know the amount requested for the French market, but the device couldget out there faster than we thought, according to recent rumors on this subject.

As a reminder, the Vision Pro is a virtual and augmented reality headset which comes with many apps that can also be found on the Mac or the iPad. This is for example the case of Keynote, for making presentations, or Pages, a word processing software competing with Microsoft Word. The device has a battery life of around two hours, and can also play video games like alternatives from Meta or Sony.

Availability date

Pre-orders for the Apple Vision Pro mixed reality headset started today. But only users who are installed in the United States have the right to afford the device, for the moment. Nothing has been specified regarding potential European customers, however analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently explained to know more, in an article published on Medium. We could then read that the mount would arrive in other countries before the Worldwide Developer Conference, organized for its part in June, generally.

As for prices, these could revolve around4 000 euros, VAT included, in mainland France. Moreover, we know that prices are roughly similar in most regions of the world, always confined to the premium segment.

The Vision Pro will only be available from February 2, from Uncle Sam.

Working at Apple is not always easy

Recently, Apple once again re-entered the ranking of100 Best Companies to Work Forfrom Glassdoor. And seeing the company offer such a reduction on its high-end mixed reality headset is a real chance for its employees. However, Tim Cook's group has regularly been criticized for its particularly restrictive return to office policy, following the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. The teams were thus required to work at their posts within the Apple Park, a certain number of days per week, while many considered teleworking to be an effective alternative.

  • Apple Vision Pro mixed reality headset is cheaper for Apple employees
  • The device still costs $3,499 in the United States, for the public
  • The price for French customers remains unknown for the moment
