Apple patent: “micro-antennas” to avoid plastic parts on its future mobiles?

Apple
was granted a patent which perhaps announces modifications for the
futur design of us machines

Aluminum is one of Apple's preferred materials, it is used
for the latest iPhone and long-standing for iPads, but to let
pass the waves, plastic covers are necessary. THE
patent in questioncould possibly make it possible to do without this
plastic "wart" that we notice on the iPhone 5 but also on the iPad
3G/4G.

For this, the principle is to usenano antennas(of
the size of the nanometer therefore) which aredirectly integrated into the
material used for the casing of the mobile machine.

We saw Apple take a similar approach withl’iPhone 4/4S,
for which part of the case (the perimeter) serves as antennas. On
imagine that as soon as it is technically feasible on a large scale, Apple
will choose tomake plastic parts disappearWho,
although very well integrated into the iPhone 5, remain a wart compared to a
back entirely in aluminum.
