Apple introduced 3D Touch with the iPhone 6s in 2015, bringing this technology first seen on the Apple Watch to the iPhone.
For several months, we had already mentioned it, Apple no longer wants 3D Touch which would be too expensive in manufacturing costs. Already last year, the Cupertino company moved to a less hardware-intensive haptic feedback solution, which made its big debut with the iPhone XR. Last night, during the keynote, Apple did not mention this new feature at any time, yet we can read very clearly on the product page of theiPhone 11 Prothat a feature called Haptic Touch is available.

The specifications of the iPhone 11 Pro do not mention 3D Touch at any time, but do talk about Haptic Touch as a new feature. Haptic Touch keeps the same shortcuts by adding a few new ones, but above all by offering a simpler way to access them without pressing too much on the screen.
The company was rumored to discontinue 3D Touch in July, a move that would increase internal headroom and reduce production costs.“Haptic Touch lets you do things faster, like take selfies without launching the Camera app”, Apple said.
