Like every week from now on, American journalist Mark Gurman shares his opinion about the next products from Apple. In an article published yesterday, he estimates that “three major features” dedicated to the iPhone 13 photo block could make the difference with previous models. And this even though this is precisely a key purchasing factor for many consumers.
Among the new features, Gurman is counting in particular on the arrival of a Portrait mode for… videos. Indeed, this option currently only concerns the photos with which it has already largely won over the general public. It is therefore entirely logical to see its publisher decline it in this way. As a reminder, the principle is relatively simple and consists of blurring a background to only allow the main subject in focus to appear clearly, if it is in the foreground.

Still according to the editor ofBloomberg, the iPhone 13 could also see the ProRes codec arrive.Awarded across the Atlantic by the Television Academy, this lossy video compression format is already favored by many professionals who could then turn once again to Cupertino mobiles for their productions. This won't be the first time:recently, the singer Lady Gaga, for example, did the same.
Add to this additional filters to improve the color as well as the appearance of photos, and you have the winning recipe that Apple should reveal in September. It is on this date that its next conference - also called a keynote - seems to be planned, during which the media from around the world will have the chance to know the technical sheet of the long-awaited smartphone.
Still the same screen?
Finally, Gurman's post reminds that the supposed iPhone 13s should retain the three current display sizes: 5.4 inches, 6.1 inches or 6.7 inches for the Pro Max. Each model will also be entitled to the sharp-edged design corresponding to that of the versions released in 2020, but with all the samea little offset at the rear, precisely due to the different objectives. Are you going to succumb, too?
