Apple Vision Pro and other mixed reality headsets could soon be compatible with Apple Intelligence. For the moment, the suite of options powered by artificial intelligence is only available on a few of the brand's mobiles, tablets and computers. On the smartphone side, only the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max are currently eligible. For iPads, they must be equipped with an M1, M2 or M4 chip. As for Macs, only those with an Apple silicon processor can run the suite. Indeed, Intel motherboards would not be powerful enough to support it – it seems.
At the moment, we do not know the precise release date of Apple Intelligence on the Apple Vision Pro. On the other hand, it clearly appears that visionOS 2, the second edition of the operating system, is not eligible. Announced during the Worldwide Developer Conference, this allows you to duplicate and then extend the macOS interface as desired, with a simple click.
When will the Vision Pro be able to benefit from Apple Intelligence?
If he assures that HomePods will not be entitled to it for the moment, Mark Gurman, journalist fromBloombergat the origin of many rumors of the kind, thinks that Apple Intelligence could arrive on the Vision Pro, but not this year. Our source of the day explains, however, that we would be entitled toregular updates of the suite, perhaps more often than with iCloud.
Apple Intelligence will still be available in versionbeta starting this fall, but on the other devices that we mentioned previously. As its name suggests, however, this edition may be riddled with bugs: it is therefore better to avoid installing it on any device. On the other hand, it is easier to access the official OpenAI website to test ChatGPT. The language model that powers it is in fact the same as that at the origin of Apple Intelligence, Cupertino having worked hand in hand with Sam Altman's firm to create the sequel.
Change during testing in the Apple Store
At the same time as the announcement of the potential arrival of Apple Intelligence on Vision Pro, we also learned that the trials of the virtual reality headset could soon change. It is already possible to reserve a test slot in the Apple Store, completely free of charge. However, the assessment in questionlasts no more than thirty minutes, we can read on the manufacturer's website. To remedy this, longer sessions would therefore be considered by Apple. The company has also not confirmed this information, as of today.
During these sessions, it was rumored that Apple could offer potential customers the opportunity to download their own content onto the headset. It is then easy to imagine how users couldfilm a “spatial” videoat home, with their iPhone 15 Pro Max, to then consult it on the mount at3 999 eurospiece. Finally, the headband allowing the Vision Pro to be positioned on the skull could change. There are two main editions, but the one currently offered to customers would not be the most comfortable. They are not the only ones anywaynegative feedbacksuffered by Apple, since the arrival of its device on the market…
The Apple Vision Pro are available in three internal storage capacities (256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB) and will be delivered to the first French buyers from July 12. Pre-orders have been open since last week.
