The price of gasoline is a bit like that of bitcoin, it goes up and down from week to week. It is sometimes even different from station to station.
And indeed, many of you have your favorite station where gasoline is most often the cheapest in the area. But in a place that is unknown to us, especially on vacation, far from home, it is difficult to understand the surrounding resorts in the same way. This is where the app comes inEssence&Co, the purpose of which is precisely to indicate the prices of different fuels in the surrounding stations and the precise addresses of the latter.
In our series“Holidays in apps“, so here is one of the best applications for refueling at a lower cost.
Essence&Co, for real savings at the pump
The application is very easy to use, its interface and ergonomics have a lot to do with it. A “fuel search” tab brings you to the essential: the display of a list of stations located within a radius of a few kilometers around your position.

You can choose the desired fuel so that the app only displays the prices for it. A satellite map allows you to have a good visual overview of the whole thing. Small detail, the most expensive prices are displayed in red, the cheapest, in green, practical for quickly finding the station at the right price.
Clicking on a station provides access to the precise address and prices of other fuels. You can also activate a route to get there more easily. Station prices are updated by the community. You can participate and update stations yourself, but you must register. It's free in any case, just like the application, financed by advertising. A payment of a few euros allows you to get rid of it.
Please note that the application is notnot as effective abroad as it is in France. To make sure you have prices for many stations in other countries, the navigation applicationWazewhich has a similar function is richer in these cases in our experience.
You canfind here all our articles in the “Holidays in apps” seriesetour file dedicated to the holiday route here.
Happy holidays again!
