Apple Car: it was not a sedan, but rather a van

Apple hasn't officially announced it, butthe Apple Car project, which existed for around ten years under the code name Titan, died in the bud during the month of February. The Apple brand, which had invested billions of dollars in this area for years, therefore decided to reverse course, much to the surprise of investors.

Now that the project is buried at Apple, the floor is starting to be released on the Cupertino side. In the latest edition of his newsletter, Bloomberg agency journalist Mark Gurman offers several diagrams. According to him these areplans for the possible Apple Car.

According to the journalist, the Apple Car would not really have been a competitor to Tesla, it would have rather taken the air of a Canoo Lifestyle, a small electric and intelligent van. The journalist also specifies that the numerous blocking points in the development of this project over several years have been responsible for a vague guideline.

Difficult in the face of so much internal indecision to know what the Apple Car could have looked like. In his publication, the journalist assures that his information dates back to drawings from 2020 and over the last four years the project could have undergone several developments.

Apple wanted a self-driving car

Still according to Gurman, the car would have been developed by Apple to reachautonomous driving level 5,the highest possible stage of development. The car would therefore have been capable of driving alone, without the help of a human, in any situation.

Apple would have found inspiration for this unique design from Volkswagen's legendary “Combi”. According to a source he cites in his newsletter, Apple would have takenthe ID Buzz of 2017as the main source of inspiration during the project's beginnings in 2017.
