Apple confirms new iPad Pro by mistake

Whilenew clues about the iPhone 12 were released this morning, here they are this time thetabletsof the firm that are making headlines. With new high-end models planned for release this year, it's no surprise to see more leaks popping up ahead of time.

If we already knew thata ToF sensor will most likely be integrated into theiPad Pro 4, we now learn that it would indeed offer two different screen sizes. The models will also differ by the integration of a chip allowing access to the mobile network or not.

With or without 5G?

It is a manual intended for users of the Chinese iPad Pro currently on sale which displayed, probably due to internal mishandling, a quartet of products that we had never heard of before. The version numbers are in fact completely unknown, and therefore surely correspond to devices soon to be marketed. In the list, we find:

  • an 11-inch iPad Pro Wi-Fi, ref.A2228
  • an 11-inch iPad Pro Wi-Fi & cellular, ref.A2231
  • a 12.9-inch Wi-Fi iPad Pro, ref.A2229(which has also been filed with regulatory authorities)
  • a 12.9-inch iPad Pro Wi-Fi & cellular, ref.A2233

It is surprising to see no A2232 or A2230 label; maybe they correspond to other iterations with a different diagonal? We will find out for sure during thekeynotewhich will reveal this additional generation. If, however, it is not canceled, given that the conference aimed at presenting the iPhone 9 suffered the same fate because of theCOVID-19.
