Apple is considering developing connected bedding

In 2017, Apple boughtbed, a startup developing flat connected objects to be installed in the bed to measure the activity of customers in their sleep. The amount of the acquisition was not revealed at the time. This is not the only time that Cupertino gets its hands on an innovative young company:just this month, several companies have already joined the giant.

Health, and in particularsleep, also seems to be a favorite subject for Tim Cook's firm. Indeed, the Apple Watch connected watch could also offer night tracking for its users in a future update. And other devices would be capable of supporting it.

Better than the competition?

A solution that Apple engineers present in abrevetfiled with the USPTO would thus take the form of a much more imposing device, covering the entire mattress or a blanket. The features described are impressive and nothing seems to be missing:

  • possibility of monitoringseveral people at the same time(taking into account the movements or snoring of one individual which may disturb the second in their assessment) by calculating the pressure that each person exerts on the tool using an integrated scale
  • display of statistics in an application also providing personalized advice
  • adjustment of environmental conditions - we imagine that a connection toHomeKitwould allow you to touch the thermostat orsmart shuttersof the house-
  • touch control panel, broadcasting real-time information about theheartbeator body temperature

What do you think of this solution? Soon aiBedan Apple Store?
