Apple presents its AI: here is “Apple Intelligence”

It was expected, here it is finally revealed: artificial intelligence Apple version. Cleverly nicknamedApple Intelligence(with the initials AI, like “Artificial Intelligence”), this new technology is deeply integrated into all or almost all of the Californian firm’s new OSes. Apple Intelligence to the rescue

Apple's Senior Vice President of Software Engineering, Craig Federighi, introduced the new features of Apple Intelligence with the following remarks:

«It should be powerful enough to help you with the things that matter most. It must be intuitive and easy to use. It should be deeply integrated into your product experiences. Most importantly, it needs to understand you and be grounded in your personal context…and of course, it needs to be built with privacy in mind from the ground up.»

Here are some examples of features:

• Writing skills: you cancall the AI ​​to write or rewrite a text,anywhere in iOS, iPadOS or macOS systems. Obviously,it also works for translation.
• Photo capabilities: AIcan automatically generate images based on photos, in all Apple apps.
• Actions: includesaction requests(opening files, sending messages, etc.).
• Local operation: which guarantees respect for user data.
• Private Cloud Computer: Apple's AI can also run on servers for certain requests, but this is a cloud created especially for Intelligence and designed for maximum confidentiality.
• Integration of “Genmoji”in Messages, allowing you to create new emoji on the device in the keyboard.
• A new tool called Image Wand in the Notes app will let you turn a rough draft into a polished image.

What about Siri then?

Apple was eagerly awaited for Siri, and we are not disappointed! Here are some interesting new AI features for the virtual assistant:

• Advanced search with Siri allows you to find a photo of your driver's license,extract your ID number and automatically enter it into a form.
• Semantic index of photos, calendar events and files,allows Siri to understand and act in more apps over time.
• Siri's AI search functionality also allows you to describe a feature in order to find it.
• Siri will contain information about features and settingsto help use your iPhone, iPad or Mac.
• You'll be able to use Siri silently by nodding your head to say yes, or shaking your head to the side to say no.
• Ability to type on Siri by double-tapping the bottom of the screen to bring up a keyboard.
• On-screen awareness of Siri, with the ability to add an address sent in a message to a contact.
