Since their launch in December 2016, AirPods have been a resounding success. In 2017, these wireless headphones generated $2.25 billion for Apple, $5.25 billion in 2018, and more than $12 billion in 2019. Let's imagine that AirPods were a company in their own right, it would be worth around $60 billion of dollars.
On Twitter, Kevin Rooke posted a chart to compare AirPods business to some of the biggest tech companies around. In 2019 alone, revenue from AirPods increased by 128% compared to 2018. See for yourself what AirPods revenue looks like compared to some of the biggest tech companies in the world:

As we can see, AirPods make as much money as Spotify, Twitter, Snap, and Shopify combined. And given their triple-digit growth over the last two years in a row, with such growth, it would be surprising if AirPods didn't bring in more money than Uber's entire service in 2020.
It must be said that these little white headphones are now available in three versions, including one for $279, moreover, during events like Black Friday, Christmas, or even sales, AirPods are often at the top of sales since they benefit from great discounts.
