For several hours, the Californian firm has been rolling out a new iOS update to users of iPhone 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max, 13, 13 mini, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max. This is thesystem version 15.1.1, now availableonly on these machines. Other iOS 15 compatible iPhones remain at iOS 15.0 for the moment.
Also note that iOS 15.2 should arrive in less than a month. a few days agothe 3rd beta has arrivedof this minor update.
Why a special iPhone 12 and 13 update?
The iPhone 12 and 13 (and their mini, Pro and Pro Max versions) suffer from a major problem: phone calls can sometimes be quite unstable. Users of these machines have notably reportedrandom cutsoccurring in the middle of a call. Sometimes even the iPhonesimply hangs up without warning…
This update 15.1.1 aims to correct this situation. Apple states in the release notes:
“iOS 15.1.1 improves call drop performance on iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models.”
Notice to readers with one of the affected iPhones: if you encountered the problem until now, does the update improve the situation?
