Apple announced the next Keynote: see you on October 13

As with the presentation last September, it was a week before the festivities that the Cupertino company made its announcement. Via press release therefore, to journalists, but also by updating the page dedicated to events onthe official website, Apple has revealed the date of its next Keynote, October 13, 2020 at 10 a.m. local time, 7 p.m. French time.

To see what?

The subtitle of the press invitation for the event reads: “Hi, Speed”. It is a play on words, the two words can both mean “hello speed”, but also “high speed”.

And some of you will certainly think like us, “speed” here probably means the arrival of a highly anticipated new internet connectivity: 5G.

Indeed, many rumors and several analysts agree that Apple will introduce 5G on its iPhones this year. Four models of new smartphones should be there:

  • L’iPhone 12 (mini): 5.4 inches screen diagonal
  • L’iPhone 12 (Max): 6.1 inches screen diagonal
  • L’iPhone 12 Pro: 6.1 inches screen diagonal
  • L’iPhone 12 Pro Max: 6.7 inches screen diagonal

In addition to 5G, this new range would surely offer improvements in different areas, screen, power, photo, etc.

And apart from the iPhone?

Several new features other than the iPhone have also been expected for several months, including the AirTag object tracker, but also new musical accessories. Apple has alsoa few hours agoremoved from its shelves many headphones and speakers from third-party manufacturers, possibly to make way for new in-house solutions. Speaking of which, a new AirPods headset could be revealed next Tuesday, as could a new entry-level HomePod speaker.

See you tomorrow for a more detailed decryption of this Keynote announcement and the possible new features that we could see there.

Finally, don't forget to mark in your calendarthe date of October 13, so as not to miss the Apple Event. This will start at 7 p.m. and as usual, youcan follow him alongside usas part of live text streaming.
