Apple no longer sells third-party speakers and headphones

It is a maneuver that has not gone unnoticed. Apple has stopped selling wireless headphones and speakers from third-party brands including Sonos, Bose, and Logitech. This is the case on the Cupertino company's website but also in Apple Stores where employees have been instructed to remove these products from sale according toBloomberg.

A practice already similar for the release of the Apple Watch

In detail, these are all the Bose headphones and speakers, the Ultimate Ears speakers from Logitech and the Sonos speaker which disappeared from the Cupertino company's online store at the end of September.

According to the American media, this sudden disappearance is not the result of chance and suggests the arrival of the first circum-aural headphones from Apple which could be announced by the end of the year. The Cupertino company would also be working on a smaller version of theHomePod.

In any case, this would not be the first time that the Apple brand has decided to remove competitive devices from its shelves to anticipate the release of its models. So, in 2014, Fitbit products suddenly disappeared, shortly after the announcement of the Apple Watch.

Since this Monday in any case, Apple has only marketed its own AirPods and AirPods Pro headphones as well as those of its Beats subsidiary. The HomePod and Beats Pill+ are also available in the Apple brand's virtual and physical stores.
