Apple Music pursues the excluded: Frank Ocean on video and future documentary on Drake

Apple persists and signs
in obtaining maximum exclusivity for its Apple streaming service
Music. Indeed, after being able to broadcast artists' preview albums
such as Dr Dre, Katy Perry or even Taylor Swift, Apple Music offers
recently, andtotal exclusivity, le streaming du movie
“Endless” by Frank Ocean, major RnB artist or the musical trend of
moment.

And then as Californian society has the means to achieve its ambitions, it has
also managed to sign a partnership with thelabel the
Drake
, another heavyweight of current music:

Concerning Franck Ocean's film, it is in fact an entire album put
in image, a sort of musical clip of almost 45 minutes, therefore. This work
quite particular artistic is only available for viewing on Apple
Music (at least initially). This is an exclusive
particularly interesting for Apple, the artist's next album, "Boys
don't Cry", being highly anticipated given the author's track record (6 nominations for
Grammy Awards in 2012 for the previous album).

But this does not seem to be enough for the Cupertino company, which continues to
expand your exclusivity list. As proof, the
recent signing of a collaboration with the label "Cash Money Records" (already
in partnership with Apple Music), which manages artists like Drake, Lil Wayne
or Nicki Minaj, for a video project. This would involve the realization of
several documentarieson the label, which saw the birth
important artists in current American music.

Apart from the question of Apple Music exclusivity, this also highlights the
Apple's strategy for the production of television content. Let's remember
that Tim Cook's firm is currently in the implementation phase of the program

Planet of the Apps
and also participated in the financing of a mini-series
with Dr. Dre,
The Hollywood
.
