Welcome tothe M1 chip, designed by Cupertino especially for its own computers. Objective: to free itself from the partnership with Intel, which until then held the role of official founder of the controlled machines. A component integrated for the first time in the second (already)MacBook Airof the year 2020.
Still with a small 13-inch Retina screen, the laptop has nono more fan. A big difference, especially since the battery has been increased with now eighteen hours of autonomy: that's six times more than before. One more asset to take into account for streaming or for nomads.
Speed, without concession
The M1 processor makes the new MacBook Air3.5 times more efficientthan its predecessor, according to the manufacturer. Furthermore, its artificial intelligence engine, the Neural Engine, would be nine times more powerful. Even the SSD would achieve twice better results. Finally, note also that the camera has been revisited: ideal for videoconferencing which is becoming more popular.
