Apple One would only be available if you have an Apple device

Tuesday is D-Day:Apple is hosting an online event where we can discover its new products. But as is often the case, servicescould also come to the forefront, at a time when this sector now represents the second largest share of revenues for Tim Cook's company.

Indeed, for several weeks now, a unique package has been the talk of the town. Code name:Apple One. Content: Apple Music and Apple TV+ for a more affordable price than subscribing to the two platforms separately. A version also with Apple Arcade, News+ and iCloud would also be in the works.

No iPhone, no Apple One?

Once again, our colleagues from9to5Macfound an additional clue to this feature. So, digging into the latest version ofApple Music pour Android, these identified a clear mention of Apple One:

<string name=”aristotle_renewaloption_subtext”>You can manage your Apple One subscription using your iPhone, iPad, Apple TV or Mac.</string>

Concretely, this line of code specifies thatto manage an Apple One plan, it would be necessary to access its options from an Apple device. It is therefore likely that Apple TV+ videos on demand are not yet planned for a web version, nor for an arrival on the Google Play Store. Moreover, to date, apart from Music, only the appBeatsand Move to iOS (to migrate data from Android to an iPhone) are accessible on the competing operating system. Apple's developer account hasn't posted anything else there yet.

This strategy could risk, for users who register on a Mac or an iPhone and then change brands, preventing them from canceling. Let's hope that Apple has come up with a parade by then.
