Apple Pay is coming soon to Crédit Mutuel and CIC

It seems that the adoption of Apple Pay by various missing French banks is accelerating, since after the confirmation that this would happen very soon for Crédit Agricole, thesite d’Applehas just been updated with two new banks.

Indeed, on the Apple page which lists the different banks supporting Apple Pay, the section of the next banks to support Apple's mobile payment has just added theCredit Mutueland its subsidiariesCICetTransatlantic Bank.

The information was confirmed by Crédit Mutuel on its Twitter account, but the bank does not specify a date, other than that it will happen in 2020.

These 5 new banking establishments in 2020 should considerably boost the adoption of Apple Pay in France. These two banking groups, namely Crédit Agricole and Crédit Mutuel, are respectively in first and fourth position in terms of number of customers.

For example, Crédit Agricole and its subsidiary LCL together have 31 million customers in France, making it the largest French bank.
