Apple Pay launches in the UK

With Apple Pay, you no longer need to have your credit card
in your pocket to pay for your purchases, an iPhone 6 or an Apple Watch allows
to pay the bill. Except that this promise arrived shortly after iOS 8 in the fall
the latter remains very virtual for many users.

For good reason, the service could only be used in the US. But it comes from
change and the first deployment outside Apple's privileged country has
started. Our friendsacross the Channel can now use Apple
Pay
their turn!

The partner banks are: American Express, Lloyds,
First Direct, HSBC, Nationwide, NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland, Santander, et
Ulster Bank. Their customers can now register their payment card
in Apple Pay (via a photo) andreplace it with an iPhone 6, 6 Plus,
or iPhone 5 and more recent smartphone if used with an Apple
Watch
.

A certain number of brands are listed as accepting payment by
Apple Pay :

Specific signage has been put in place by Apple to indicate the
possibility of paying with your equipment:

For these contactless payments, the limit is
currently 20 pounds, it will be increased to 30 in September
.

The Apple Pay solution also allows you to pay a certain number of
services within applications:

It took more than 8 months for Apple to reach agreements with
banks and launch its payment solution beyond the US. NOW
that it is done for the United Kingdom, it remains to be hoped that the deployment
can be done quickly elsewhere!
